Upchuck those are some nice Fats! I've been wanting to convert my 94 to s/s. BTW what fork are you running on this Yo?
My Yo Eddy Team. Circa 1994. Syncros stem & post, white ind. cranks and hubs. Z2 fork. Was my main ride until I upgraded to my Blur LT in '06. Many memories on this bike!
O.g triple O.G. S&M FO LIFE I know its not that old but its my o.g whip. its been on the loop and done some other non bmx friendly trails. lol! and disregard the mess my house is under construction
Since about '90 my Dad has been riding this after I gave it to him when I got my Nishiki Alien. Yeah, I know. He sold it at a garage sale around '05 and then bought it back a year or so ago at another garage sale up on the central coast with all the same components and tires still on it. Recognize those tires? BIOPACE! Yeah! <snicker>
Rode this thing into the ground! Got it new and buried it. Had it for about 5 years! Sweet brakes! Super Oval Tech Chainrings.
I remember that downhill. I was in that Race. Rockhopper South. That was the descent from Butler Peak. I still have my bike from the race as well. A Schwinn KOM (updated of course). One of the first lugged frames from the Greeneville Mississippi plant (later to be known as the Paramount Design Group.) And yes, for $12, the Marin Rockstar was the perfact low priced but incredibly tractiontastic tire there was. Did you ever go to Briese's Schwinn in Yucaiapa? That's where I worked at this time.
In the early '90's, when I first started mountain biking, I had two Cannondales: A 1992 M-700 and a 1993 M-700. They served me well for a number of years, but like so many others I moved on to other bikes (Kleins mostly) and sold my Cannondales. I had a bit of a hiatus from mountain biking but have gotten the bug again, and for a number of reasons (mostly sentimental I suppose) I decided to look around for a "classic" Cannondale, and instead of 1 I found 2...I got them from the same person who had bought them new and essentially stored them in his garage. The red one is a '92 and the black on is a '93 - the exact bikes I rode at the time, both in virtually unused condition with all the original parts and working perfectly.
I found a really cool shop here in Colorado Springs that has the largest supply of vintage mtb frames, forks, parts etc...that you will every find. If you-all are in Colorado Springs check out Bicycle Experience.
Nice collection of bikes! Makes me regret selling my old GT Bravado, Bontrager Privateer and mostly my old Bontrager Race Lite
Briese's Schwinn was one of our customers when I worked at Mantis. I am sure that we must have spoken on the phone! Eddie
Here is my Easton Reflex I love this bike and its memories . (circa 1989) before that I had a Cannondale sm 800 it was my first "real" mountain bike . Recently my Santa Cruz Superlight was stolen so now I am going retro with a 1998 Intense Uzzi DH . It was a generous gift from a STR peep helping me get back in the dirt. I just have the frame right now. I need a fork then I would have enough parts so I can ride again. We just had a baby girl so money is tight so I am hoping to have it together this late spring or early summer.
I still ride a 1997 Schwinn S-Carbon S10. And I also ride a 1998 Klein Mantra Race but I need to rebuild the rear shock, Fox Alps 5R. Anyone have a seal kit for this shock? Fox doesn't not does Push Industries.
