It must have been hot out there... it's like 102 right now! Jason and I would have liked to have been there, but we had a rough week (Eddie) and not much rest. Glad to hear Maddie is doing OK

 

I'm not going to even attempt putting names with everyone. Here's where we had the talkers (as in shiat talkers, the ones who climbed) and the walkers. I forgot how fun this little ride could be. The regroups were real fun and the riding was easy enough. Big kudos to Keith on the jump and even though Jesse was on a ht, he gave it some good shots.

Yes I did. It was fun, although the very bottom near the end is a little nerve recking.:drunk:



And thanks to everyone that kept me motivated, Specially Gene for pedaling around me as I walked my bike uphill. I was having a really hard time with the B's? but it was a good pain to deal with for the fun that was ahead.

It was great meeting everybody, and I would definitely love to do it again.:bang: I'll work on my terrible conditioning.

 

Any pics of the over the bars crashes at the rocky section?

 

I was to far away down at the bottom, maybe Neil got some. They looked spectacular from my view.

It's cool getting to me more riders from the site.

It was a freaking roit, that just after Jay say's "nice drops, you did'nt crash", I wash out and come up all dirty, after my next drop!:clap::lol:

 

I had a good time - even trudging up the B's . You guys made me feel welcome and I really appreciate the few "how you doing's" in passing.

Thank you Gene for keeping an eye on me at the end of the line and makin' sure I didn't get lost.

Letty, it was good to meet you; let me know when your races are.

I'm looking forward to the next ride 'cause you're all crazy with your jumps and endo's and I love it!

damn - sounds like a fun time had by all. sorry i missed it. Neil and Traci - glad all is well with your girl!!!

However kiddie saga continues here. With my lovely wife giving me a hall pass to ride I decided to let her sleep as long as possible and took our little guy outside with me as i was putting the bike in th truck. As 18 month old kids do he decides to run towards a ball left on the lawn, trips over a garden hose and does a face plant into our brick stairs (his firt endo...sort of). Pick him up and his eye and nose already looks like Rocky after Apollo creed gave him a beat down. I could have sworn i heard he say, "cut me mic". in any regard ran into the house with him -waking up my wife in a panic (sort of opposite of original intentions), and held him with a bag of ice on his face for the next 30 or so minutes ( obviously no oaks newbie ride for me ). anyway, sounds like a great turnout and sorry i missed. it. good news is aside from a blackeye/nasty bruise he's alright (already proving himself tougher than his dad) and my wife has granted me a hall pass to ride tomorrow (probably just wants to keep me away from our son).

so if anyone wants to hit oaks tomorrow (sunday). hit me up

 

havent figured out how to do the thanks for every one, but thanks had a blast, major props to neil and all the adrenaline crew for puttin this together. we all need to get tandom bikes{cheap ones} and do a newbie tandom
ride and tea party:bang::bang:nice and early up the bees and down cutes

and every one needs to do the back to basics ride sponsored by deuce sixer and adrenaline

 

sorry to hear that about your boy...toddlers are proned to such trips...speedy recovery for you boy

Big fun ride guys. Glad there was such a great turnout!

Saw some cool hucks and some great spills on chutes. Glad nobody was hurt, but it was hilarious hearing the peanut gallery with their positive encouragement. And big props to those guys who spilled for getting right back up, riding and cleaning that section again.

Neil thanks for organizing, and taking some cool shots with Pain Freak. Glad your little girl is gonna be alright. Do another newbie ride soon so your whole gang can make it out.
