Coyote Bitches may have enticed your dog to mate, I hope it's not the case but if it is the male pimp coyotes may have attacked your dog. Mydog runs away also and the wilderness is closeby so if I can't find him I look for buzzards.

Take a smoker out there with some hardwood and slap some rib eyes, ribs, pork chops, roast or butt on there so you can really get that smokey BBQ smell going. Don't forget the essence! He'll just follow his nose, right back to you.

Good luck, we're all pulling for the guy.

So this dog is terrified of humans and ran away from his owner.....any chance he was just trying to be free?????

"Oh cool look there's food....oh crap they almost saw me.....note to self....wait for dark and wipe down paw prints"

    *bad shedevil!!!*

Jealosy maybe the culprit for this circumstance. My SHEWOLF gets jealous when I choose the Haro rather than her. I proposethat Kipper may have been jealous of your riding time. The setting up of a smoker out there not a bad idea, but arm yourself from hungry stray dogs, coyotes, and an errant meth head. Good luck, good excuse to ride alot under the guize of searching for your dog.

    Update:
Gaylord just got home this morning... no sign of Kipper. He is going to head back up there again today and probably camp out again tonight. If anyone wants to camp out there let him know or just show up.

Has the ranger given him a leash ticket yet?

I envy the dog, and would gladly stay in the wilderness instead of going back to the yard. Time will tell how smart the dog is.:?:
