Hmm. Having never done a century at all, I can't comment fully. I did want to try one in January or at latest Feb for the Palm Springs ride. I REALLY wanted to ride the Death Valley century but that's out this year 'cause I went and scheduled the school musical for that weekend. Doh! Seems doable, though. I mean, we did the Tour de Foothills in about 3.5 hours and that was 65 miles. 40 more miles in six hours? Easy.

Without a doubt Solvang is one of the best. I'll more then likely hit that one again.

I'd do Solvang without any arm-twisting. I think that might be a bad date for me, though. I'm taking my students down to L.A. to see Wicked one of those weekends in March. I don't know if it's that one or the one after. If I'm free that weekend I'd be strongly tempted.
