These guys are the fast of the fast for the local scene. They are something like the Rose Bowl group too. Good thing is there are some slower guys out there too, so you can always ride with them. I only went twice and the second time was just to support a friend. Man, these guys are fast. The first day I was there five years ago a guy named Flloyd Landis was there, I heard of him, but wasn't quite sure who he was.

It's to far for me to get to, otherwise I'd go again and have some fun.

    Whoops. Lakers are on tonight.
While the game may not be worthwhile, I think I'll skip the crit until next week.

I did one of those crits a few years ago. Had a blast! Raced with the cat 4-5 group. I wanted to keep doing it, but right after that one, I changed job locations.

    Go for it!

Be careful, though. some of those guys can get a bit squirly on the turns. I was surprised to see so many people not know how to turn. And the last lap can be a bit aggressive, as well. However, having grown up racing BMX, I don't mind going elbow to elbow or shoulder to shoulder.

Amen to that! From what I hear, racing gets a lot more fun when you're able to upgrade to CAT 3, less crashes and more competent riders.
