Light question

I just got the 900 lumen light from deal extreme. I am looking at the 1200 lumen lights but I was thinking about mounting them on the front of my 4runner and using them as off road lights. My questions are, how do I wire the light to run off a toggle switch and how hard is it to reduce the voltage from 12v to 8.4v. I guess I should ask if anyone thinks they will work well as off road lights too.

It's not worth it. Even cheap off road lights for cars are brighter than any bike light. The beam pattern is wrong for off roading, the light from a bike light will not reach far enough to make any difference.
