L.A. FUN RIDE Who is doing this

    The sign ups for the L.A. FUN RIDE just opened up today. The ride is April 14th. Really great event, you can do either a 33 casual loop or a 52 mile loop. Did this last year, you can pretty much ride any kind of bike. Last year there was a person doing it on a Pugsley. The sign up is at www.coafunride.com. Check it out.

    I did it two years ago and had a great time! I don't think I'll be able to this year due to a scheduling conflict.

    Down Town LA has some of the best trails in town :). We've done 5 or 6 night time rides with a big group starting in east la and doing a casual 20 mile loop starting at 9:00pm. LA is beautiful at night THATS FUN

    Some people had asked about this ride. Registration is 65.00 until March 31st, then 75.00 after that.

    I'll be there. I'm registered and ready. Might even take a boom box and play Iron Maiden the entire ride. If not Maiden, then maybe some Donny Osmond. :bang:

    Isn't that kind of a steep entry fee for a "fun" or "recreational" ride? The Long Beach marathon Bike Tour was half of that. Is this ride twice the fun?? :-k

    Isn't the LB marathon already blocked off? The LA fun ride isn't. We are escorted by LAPD. I guess some off the fee goes to that?

    They also provide a break at halfway with snacks and drink and a lunch after the ride. Also get a t-shirt and finishing medal.

    They even feed you! wow this is fantastic... some freinds from work were trying to talk me in San Diego Grand Fondo 105 mile ride but it falls on the LA Fun Ride Day... Look like LA is much closer. LOL

    Loading up some Donny Osmond for this!! Also, Thanks to Fullerton Mike, (and yes, Dino) for the Fullerton bike jersey. Definitely will be sporting it!! If you don't see us in the parking lot, look for a tall, dark and hansome rider with a yellow Fullerton Bike jersey. That would be me. I know I'll already see a few of you there, but for those that I haven't met, looking forward to seeing you there.
