Beautiful pics! If you get a chance to write a little about the trail, I bet we'd all like to read it.

The trail was sometimes dirt sometimes decomposed granite. Like all Tahoe trails they never stay flat for long. Ride was 2,000 ft of climbing but not all at once 14.23 miles long. Most of the climb was done in the begiining. Lots of rockgardens, big trees, huge views and excellent little lakes.

Donner Pass Highway 80, near Donner Lake off Soda Springs Road.

In the 80's, a little cold when you stop in the shade. Tahoe always seems to get afternoon winds. We have been lucky so far they have not been strong enough to blow us of the peaks. It is a bummer to ride hours to get to a view then not enjoy it due to the wind.

Yes many more pics, hoping one of the others will jump in and post something up.

Dell and Nick are hitting up Northstar today, Lynn, Scott and I are going over to Brockway Summit and riding Tahoe Rim Trail through Watson Lake to Tahoe City. Hope it is a easy ride I am beat.

    One tiny correction....

Ut...Hmmm - Forgive the correction Ol Man, but I think it's "Hole in the Ground"

The only reason why I know that is because I kept wanting to call it Hole in the Wall too...and I made a mental note when Dean posted the RR.#-o

Dean ~ it's ok to be stingy or selfish and post more pix, I don't think the others are going to do it.:-k

fun trail, i finished it the dark though. it does have alot of "up" while doing the descent. i generally like my rides all up and then all down, could actually use a gravity dropper on this trail. a good one though!
