Hmmmmm... raining....what to do???... what to do???

I'm pumping up the road bike tires as the rain continues. I'll be hammering a 50 mile road ride Saturday and quite possibly repeating on Sunday. What else can you do in the rain except road ride and hit the gym?

When I do take a day off for rest, I believe it will be new bike component upgrade time woohhooo!

I ordered cables and housing last Monday to give myself something to do this weekend. Got the cables today. No housing. Hmmmm. STR FB and reruns.

way to bring back a classic...

unfortunately my day looks like Couch meds flu survivorman marathon and Nutella

Just finished up doing this last couple of weeks, Jeff. Hope you heal quickly... along with all those other aliments of 2010.... Bummer!

We all know that rainy days are for buying stuff you don't need at the LBS. That or taking your bike in to have work done, if you're too lazy/unskilled/unmotivated to do it yourself.

I spent some money at wheel world yesterday and I've been wrenching since. Dying to ride but it just ain't gonna happen here.

I Replaced the leaky seals and foam rings on my fork, now i need to head back to the path and get a replacement bearing for my lockout lever. :-(

So I took my own advice and jumped on the fixie for what I thought would be a 1.5hr ride. The plan was to ride from San Diego toward Mira Mesa Blvd. I work up there, so I wanted to recon the route before actually using it to get to work. The closer I got to Mira Mesa Blvd the better I felt so I decided to go all the way to the intersection. Upon making the U-turn I heard the wind whistle in my ear and thought "aww shit". I couldn't figure out why the first 18 miles out felt so effortless. Needless to say the 18mi back was brutal with a 20mph head wind almost the whole way. Finished up the ride in 2:15 and my legs are worked.

Overall, not a bad way to spend a rainy day:)
