GoPro adhesive mount question

For those with the GoPro camera (HD and non-HD), do you know if the adhesive mounts work well on Matte (non glossy) helmet surfaces?? :-k

I read on mtb reviews that someone had a problem getting stickers to stay on a Giro matte surface but the 3M adhesive mounts that come with the GoPro are supposed to be super adhesive.

My buddy has had no problems on his Specialized FF with a matte finish. In fact, he had an argument with a rock garden up at Mammoth and while the camera mount did come off, it took the finish with it! He thought it would be a good idea to fly over the bars and headbutt some rocks, he's crazy like that.:lol:
That 3M stuff will survive a nuclear attack!
I have one mounted on my 661 also with no problems. Been on there about a year.
