Garmin 305 questions/advice

Santa gave me and my wife the 305 edge for Christmas.

How many of you use the speed/cadence sensor?

And has anyone had problems pairing their heart rate monitor? My Wife got hers working, but mine keeps telling me that it detects multiple heart rate monitors. When I move far away (60 feet or so) from hers it won't pair up. I'm about to swap out the battery, but I figured someone might have some experience with this.

Any thing else I should/could know that the manual won't tell me?

I would call Garmin. They have a FAQ section or if the answer isn't there, they have really good customer service and will answer any questions you have.

I had the same problem with mine. They had me change the battery and I have to make sure that my husbands 705 is turned off, then it pairs just fine.

Sometimes I need to actually start riding for mine to pair. I think the sweat/moisture helps. Put some spittle on the monitor and/or your chest and see if that works.

I have never had any problems pairing mine but i do use the Cadence/speed sensor... it is nice to have the extra data...
