I see the categories on the registration page but not on the schedule. I emailed Jeff from Blue Wolf and will post his reply once I receive it.

I couldn't find it on the schedule however. I suggest contacting Frosty.

So, who is doing which DH race? Just trying to get an idea of who is doing the NMBS race vs the Cal State race, or who is planning on doing both?

i'm so confused about what's going on this weekend, where/when to register, points for SRC, yada yada yada.

one thing i have concluded is that I will be there at 8am Sunday doing XC (beginner)

which raises the question, for points/classes, usually it has been 19-26 yrs old for my group, but this weekend it's 19-24? which puts me in the 25-30 now? so confused. and wouldn't that mess with people's times/points?

I still can't figure out the schedule between the two events on the same day. Looking at the NMBS schedule, there is no time slot available to fit the Golden State races.

Because the Golden State DH race follows the NMBS DH race - which the pro finals start at 1:00 PM - it looks like the GS races start somewhat late. On top of that, unless you're racing pro, I don't see any practice time in the schedule.

Lee...it says the Cal State will be immediately following men's pro dh on Sunday (effectively pretty late Sun afternoon)...I know it conflicts with Super D.

These points only count for USA Cycling, not towards SRC. There tend to be a lot more people racing at these, that's why the age classes are broken down more.

See, that's the catch...and I can't figure it out. Let's say hypothetically you are doing the NMBS dh...you'd "practice" for Cal State during your NMBS practice. But I'm wondering, like you, what if you aren't doing NMBS?? When is the practice time? If it's still during NMBS practice (according to level...pro, expert, etc) then, what if there is a schedule conflict??

    Practice time for Cal State

    Here is what is posted:

NOTE: The Cal State race will take place Sunday March 30 2008 (The same day as the NMBS race) after the Pro Men's Downhill race. It will be a one run race. Practice for the Cal State will be available on Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sun. For the complete schedule click HERE.

The schedule they are referring to is the NMBS Schedule!! The only practice listed for Sunday is Pro/Semi-pro.

As a side note, I have sent an email to Donny to find out the following:

Will there be a split course for the NMBS Nationals? If so, will you be using the same 2 courses for the Cal State race? The reason I ask this is because for NMBS 40+ Females and 50+ Males race on the sport course. For Cal State we will be racing in the Expert class. This means we will need to practice both courses, will we be allowed to???

I'm planning on doing just the Cal State race. The practice schedule sucks for me, and with no Beg/Sport practice on Sunday my first run on the course will be my race run.:?:#-o

Hopefully I'll learn everything I need to know by walking the course in the morning and watching the National race (assuming it's not a split course).
