What is the stroke on the shock?

How much travel does the shock give you? The Mission is 6" of travel, correct? Still trying to figure this shock business out.

I'm looking for a RP2 or RP23.

yes correct the mission is a 6" travel bike. what the rp23 has over the rp2 is the 3 levels of propedal. the more aggressive the level, the closer you are to a lock out. the amount of travel a shock gives is dependent on the frame. the mission was designed for 6" travel with a 2" stroke shock. BUT if you put a shock that's too short (eye to eye) on, your bike geometry would change. if you put on a shock that has less stroke than your stock one, you will also get less travel due to a sooner bottom out. either situation is not healthy for you or your bike.

Thanks for the edumacation. I think mine is 7.875 eye to eye. Just not to sure what the stroke is. I've been trying to look it up but, can't find the info. anywhere specifically for my bike. I have a Gary Fisher Fat Possum that comes with a Manitou Swinger 3-way.

it sounds like your swinger would be around a 2" stroke. imo this would be a good upgrade for your bike.
