who took the sloped "short-cut" line to the right at the bottom of the first rock garden? i practiced that line and decided not to take it in my race run because it required pedaling uphill, pedaling on a slope and it didn't really set you up for the loose, right-hand turn right after the first rock-garden. what is the rationale for taking that line?

justin i'm not sure which area you're talking about ... the only bush i remember is the one i kept almost running into after airing that rock hump right after the water tower ...

I took it...to me it seemed like a straight line...like the other shortcut at the top..

i didn't take it. i don't think it was as fast.

the place that was really fast and saved time was up at the top after the first hard right-left. the fast line broke off to the left and went between a bush and a rock. straight line that saved two ticks i think.

that line really helped!!!
