Fire at crafton?

I just dropped something off at home and noticed what looks like parts of the new Thundebird, Three Hawks or College loop may have burned. There are plenty of fire fighters and at least one helicopter. Anyone know if this was a practice burn or real fire?

I'm hoping this doesn't cause too much damage on the new trail work that Hans and crew did recently.

Real fire unfortunately. Sucks because that just means more runoff and erosion when we do finally get some moisture.

Any updates on this. Fire out? Trails okay?

Trails are fine! The fire burned above the aquatic center and east toward College Loop Trail. The burn comes right down to the trail but does not continue any further. I hope we don't receive large amounts of rain at one time the fall/winter or else college loop trail will exist no more.
