DH trail in Ventura?

So tonight I was checking out the sunset at the top of summit st. (where the big cross is) and I see this rider flying down the hill. Seems there is a little DH trail going down the hillside. Anyone ride this much? Nice to find out that it is there. Now I can get some runs in after work.

I think that's a trail that runs out of Grant Park? I was up there a few weeks ago and talked to a park ranger, who said bikes are OK in the park. We should get together one of these days and explore what's back there.

How far up did you go? I only walked the part by the park, but on the geo it looks like it goes farther back up/in the hill..

You can pretty much see the trail, it cuts down to the next parking area, then ends up behind the mission.

I'm not sure if you can go further back in the hills or not.

It's actually the super secret private DECLINE test track! It's about 1:00 and change long. Starts up next to the fence. Just awesome how it spits you out into oncoming traffic where shithead kids are going to be drifting up that road halfway through the course....
