Ya, you may be a bit surprise, but yes I do have a road bike. I don't ride it much as a matter of fact, others have ridden it more than I have. Well, that will all change now that I've been transferred to LAX. I figure, why fight traffic on the 405 S when I can do a ride and let traffic lighten up a bit. That's exactly what I did Monday morning. I loaded up my road bike Sunday night, worked 11 hrs, then when I got off work at 7:30am, I headed to Dockweiler State Beach which is about 5 minutes from LAX and headed for a ride.

The weather was perfect, the sun was out, nice cool morning to start, then perfect mid 70 deg temps, can't beat that. The waves at El Segundo Beach and El Porto weren't bad either. There were times I wished I had by beach cruiser and surfboard instead.

There's beach access here, but I figured I'd get my HAB this Saturday during the VQ. #-o

This is when working night shift has its advantages. I did my loop down Bolsa Chica to Newport and there was some nice "scenery" ;) to be enjoyed.

Sweet! That is my home turf. The road riding is great! PV has lots of options if you have the desire to ride more after an 11 hour shift!

Ya, I use to live in Redondo Beach. I love it out there. After my shift, I'm not out to break any speed records, just a nice cruise to pass the time until the morning rush thins out a bit.

I wouldn't mind cruising from PV to Playa Del Ray and back 1 morning after work, but it all depends on how tired I'll be after my shift. Even If I just relax on the beach for couple hrs before jumping on the 405 S cause it's just not worth sitting in traffic for 1 1/2. I carpool on some days so I couldn't ride every morning. I bet Sunday morning has lots more riders out. I'll be bringing my surfboard sometime as well.

Nice gene, good way to unwind after work. Keep the "scenery shots" coming.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm usually heading to work about that time but going the other direction.
