Start at the dirt lot at the 56/Carmel Country exit on the south side.

This ride will include Little Waimea, bridges, and tunnels. Not sure how, but probably will include Cobbles as well.

To get to the start, take the 56 to Carmel Country (east of I5; west of I15). Head south and take the first right into a dirt lot. Park. Stretch. Fix last minute, previously unknown bike issues....

Hey Brian, are we meeting on the dirt lot on the left on Carmel County and just north of 56 per google map, and not on the right side? Can you add a map link to pinpoint the meeting place?
Also is the ride a couple of hours or more?
I will have a friend coming also.
Jose

The dirt lot is on the West side of Carmel Country. If you go south on Carmel Country from the 56, it's on the right hand side.

Sorry about the goofs in the directions guys.

Here's the cell just in case: eight five eight

C'mon nappy...you've got plenty of time to sleep next week. Might as well get in a good ride to before you go!:)

We had a little rain in Chula Vista this morning, I know that LPQ is very sensitive to rain so I hope nothing had changed, see you guys later.

it was a little misty last night, but i'm pretty sure there wasn't enough to shut it down.

I would if I could but the wife has a to-do list I need to get done before tonight. Have a good ride. We can do the full loop after the new year if the trail stays dry.

I once spent 2 hours in Tunnels. We then rode out to I-805 and on the way back got the crazy idea to do Tunnels a second time, so up Powerline we went. Total mileage was over 30 that day. I was whooped.

I'm looking forward to the LPQ epic. We need to get more epics/@$$ kickers going once Spring gets here.

Nice to meet you Brian,Pete,Jose & Ivan.

It was alot of fun for sure today. Thanks Brian for being a great trail guide. My first time riding there in the day time & it was a blast.

Tunnels was fun for sure, the whole ride flowed well. The light rains kept the dust down, & dirt was great.:bang:

Look forward to riding with you guys again in the future.

Thanks again for the tour.

Had a great time, thanks Brian for setting the ride, it went so well, fun to ride with each one of you, Double Tunnel was great, we'll do it again soon.

Like I said on our ride today...What a stark contrast to what the trail was when I was out there last in '99, back then it was only a fire road. Brian, huge props to you for setting this up and being the guide, absolutely awesome. It was great riding with Brian, Ivan, Greg(iron lungs), and Jose (climbing monster). I look forward to having the opportunity to ride with you guys again. Ivan, hows the shoulder, I hope your alright man.
Thanks again everyone, what a fantastic ride....and yeah, whose idea was it to ride tunnels twice? It kicked a$$!!:)

I hear there's a way to connect Black Mountain RB to LPQ. That would probably bring us into around 30 mi.

We did something near 20 today I think.

Yeah, I think Luna said his odometer was at 18.5, and mine was at 17.78. Plus you rode to the trailhead from your home, so I think you are right about on the dot there.
