RR: Cool & Easy 50 (E Oceanside - San Onofre)

Justin and I went in search of a nice easy cooler ride in So Cal, that involved the road bikes. We found a route titled the Cool & Easy 50 on routeslip.com

We started at the College Blvd bike path parking lot and rode to the Oceanside Harbor. From there we went through Pendleton, and up through San Onofre state beach. We turned around a bit after that.

52.25 miles and around 1100ft of climbing. Great ride. I'd like to schedule a ride for a weekend next month and get a decent group. As long as no one minds riding with a peloton newb ;)

I'm down. I'll have to decide between the fixie, or putting slicks on the cross bike.

Looks fun. I need a Garmin pretty badly.

Oh, and I'm down for a ride. With a small group we can probably do this ride in 2 and a half hours, if everyone works together.

Do you guys ever do the road ride from Escondido to Encinitas. That's a fun little ride....stop off and have breakfast then the loop back. If I'm not mistaken it's about 35 miles with a few climbs, nothing too bad though.

Let me know if you're up for it some Saturday. I have more details on the ride if you're interested.

Fer sure! Sounds good. Haven't done it, but I'm sure we'd be up for it.

Since I wasn't able to make it ITT yesterday, I did a road ride myself. A cool and easy 80. I had a great time and forgot how much I actually like riding the road. I'm down...
