Had a great (solo) ride this morning at Fully Loop. I set up my camera to film me climbing "Heart Attack Hill", but I had to do it TWICE, because the camera shut off during the first climb due to a full memory card! So I deleted all the files and went back down to climb it again, which you can see in the video below.

Climbing with my Geared 26er (in 1:1 for the climb) is much more of a challenge than on an ungeared uni, due to the much heavier internal geared hub. My total time for the loop, including breaks and camera setup was 1:49. I made every single climb this time, and thanks to Charlie's (zerogravity) help on the first ride last Wednesday, I found my way around with no problem!

That is nuts! What program did you use btw?
For editing? I always use windows movie maker (not the "live" version but the regular one). For the opening "heart animation" I downloaded that from youtube, but it had narration on it so I muted that and added the heartbeat sound effect.

HAH Love it Terry!!! Especially with the Hiker at the beginning and the end! Just think if riding a single speed up that and no gear reduction so your tire IS the gear. Way to go bro! Let me know when u wanna go out again..wanna do more filming with the "extra credit" parts.

Thanks Charlie. I may ride it again tomorrow, depending on how today's ride recovery goes! Probably won't be filming so I can just focus on the riding. I had to take the surface street around lake path since it was closed today for a fishing competition. I was surprised that I remembered all the trail directions, thanks to you! Did you all go to that after ride thing down the street?

After a sub 4 hour ride, a lot of us were tired. Ended up 3 out of the 18 went and got free hotdogs and drinks and listened to music. It was cool...but warm too. Overall it was a great day.

Rode the Fully Loop again today, making it my third ride since last Wednesday, and over 30 miles of riding. I thought I would be too tired frkm my ride just yesterday, but I had a good night's sleep and felt good so I went for it, and again made all the climbs. Mtbr Sean shot a short video on his cellphone of my climbing up heart attack and I have a still from that below.

zsteep.jpgI fixed it for you, notice the trees are actually vertical how they are in real life.

Yeah I had already made the same correction on my facebook page, but it's still steep! The reason it came out like that was because i didn't have a tripod with me, so I had to balance the camera on a tree (you can see part of it) and this was the only angle I could get without it falling over. I straightened it out for you:
