I'm going to have the week open by default on the forum index page whenever there's a ride in the coming week. I'll close it by default whenever the week is clear.
I think the calender will be very useful once we start to use it more.

You add the calender information at the same time you start a new topic. The topic is just a regular topic, but only it also adds a calender entry.
