Went to Vegas for a few days and did a Sat/Sun session at Bootleg Cyn. We decided to give Ryan his Xmas present early so he could take it to Bootleg for the ride. For those of you interested, he has moved on from his Haro with 16inch wheels and coaster brake to a Kona Shred 2-0 with front suspension and disc brakes.. and a few upgrades. I added Maxxis MaxxDaddy 2.25 tires, Azonic 420 pedals, Azonic Barretta 45mm stem, Azonic AZ-7 handlebars and Troy Lee ODI grips.. it's taken him no time at all to get acclimated (I expected a bigger learning curve), in fact we just did a run down Lynx and Stairsteps today.. some definite new ruts from the rain, but anyway this post is all about Bootleg. We did a few shuttles to make the Girlscout/Boyscout run, and an Eastleg run.. we rode the bottom 1/2 of Snakeback, Reaper, Ginger and G-String, and also did a run of Snakeback from the top for the very first time. It was brutal, I had to carry his bike through the waterfall section and one other major hairy section, so needless to say we don't need to hit the top of Snakeback again anytime soon. This vid clip is a shows some Girlscout, Boyscout and the Teeter Totter in the skills park..
