I have pretty much that build cept I have hope bulbs vs. the pro II. $550 at red barn cycles. Nice wheels tooyou could also look into custom wheel builds for that price range. Something like hope pro II hubs with dt 4.1 rims and dt spokes and nipples would be right around that $500 price range
Are you going to run UST? I hear the DT rim strips for the 4.1s are really easy to use or maybe some of the new Stan's rims.
Hope this helps.
Carl
I have a set of Hope hubs with 317 rims from 2001 and they're still in A1 condition........but then thats English crasftsmanship for you![]()
Hi Keith,
I've developed a bearing replacement kit that duplicates the material, fit and function of the worn bushing and you get the outer ball bearing as well. It's called the Mavic Hub Doctor. I'll have my website launched soon (hubdoctor.com) but for now you can purchase it on MTBR, roadbikereview and craigslist (orange county) and Ebay. Here's a video on how to open the rear hub, http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Overhaul-a-Mavic-Free-Hub-66770606 The hub is fully rebuildable and it's cost effective at only $22 shipped!
Cheers!

Thanks.
