Just thought this was so stupid that I'd like to share my misery with everyone.
This is actually the 2nd time this has happened. First time was at Whiting Ranch when I grabbed the brakes right before I hit a root and went OTB.

This time... as I was riding home, middle of the day, middle of an intersection.

Just finish doing my regular 5mile half road half dirt ride. But to day the trail was a little muddy so brakes was REALLY biting. Thought nothing of it and started home. Hucked the curb as I always do lalalalala. started to cross the street because the light was green.... some lady was turning right on a red.

I was being nice and tried to wave her by because I was still pretty far. Stupid me,... I was off the saddle, and feathered my front 185mm BB7 and BAM! Endo'd in the middle of the intersection! Tucked the rolled off my elbow and onto my back. I'm fine just feel a little Stupid.

Lady I was in front of was nice enough to ask if I was ok. Got to the end of the light and waited for that light, guy behind me in an orange element was like "DUDE! YOU WERE LIKE BAM!!! HAHAHA! SWEET!" I just smiled at him and laughed at myself with him.

Oh yeah I'm totally fine, just a scrapped off a lot of dignity in that intersection =(
BB7s, this is why I'm not going hydros anytime soon.

Hydro brakes have improved lever feel and modulation so that you can actually apply the amount of brake that you want to. It isnt only about power alot of finesse is also important when it comes to a braking system especially when riding tech trails.

hahaha guess I should keep practicing =P
But all in all, I had a good ride, found 2 hidden(ish) trails that lead to nice shady areas.

One important thing I think most people miss on mechanical disc is the lever pull. Use all three pad adjustments and find a place where the brakes are most powerful about halfway to the bar or wherever you feel most comfortable. I find that this gives a little fluff when it comes to those tense situations.

Yep, thats my set up: Set it up so at half way to bar its just about to lock then back the outbound pad out 1 just to be safe. I'm tiny so I go flying pretty easy =P

DB: hahha you're right, hope it wasn't at work =P
I hear that all the time, and thats my excuse for not getting them(just look at my car's hydro fluid) I might consider Hyrdos next bike.
thanks!
