Aliso Woods – Weekly Evening Ride

Car Reck is not for you if u don't like technical down hill! The vidoes that A D NOH posted on the ride report make it seem like an easy ride down, but it's really not.

 

Thats all I needed to hear, im going today

 

I probably won't be going this week, but I think they leave at 6 PM.

 

Yeah, usually start around 6:00/6:15. I might have a couple of guys from work tagging along this week and they're def not technical riders, so I know they won't want to ride car wreck and 5oaks. If they don't go I'm totally down for Garrett's loop. I'll find out for sure tomorrow and give an update on my status. If they're going then maybe we'll meet up along the way and I'll point them down Mathis while I hit car wreck with the group. :beer:

 

Well, if there will be newbies in the ride, maybe we can hold off on doing that loop until next week (when I can go )

 

Sounds fun! I didn't think of splitting up on Mathis, that's a good idea.

 

Plus it'll give me a chance to really test my new ride!

 

What new bike did you get?

Ride posted up this week. We will probably be doing Car Wreck, anyone who doesn't want to can bypass on Mathis. OCmoto set it up for recurring so it should be consistent from here on out.:bang:

 

Okay, so let's setup 2 groups this week if you guys want. One can start at the park and the other will start at the ranger station. That way the easy route won't bore Sl0M0 and A D NOH out of their minds :beer:. I'll be starting at the ranger station with the easy group and hopefully we can time it right and connect with you guys on CW:bang:

Just post it in your RSVP where you'll be meeting up so we all know who to look out for. I'll be at the ranger station

 

Homies! What's the weather looking like at Aliso? Did Whiting yesterday and didn't make it up mustard, too HOT!

So that means Mathis is going to be a B!TCH to climb in this heat!

 

Probably gonna be f'ing hot and muggy! When I got home at 6pm yesterday it was still mid 80s and this morning felt like I was living in Missouri!

It might be better taking the more moderate route up cholla and along the ridge, but you still gotta climb

Alright dave, time to stop vacationing is Canada and come back home to ride with us :wave:

BTW, we did Car wreck this week and it is pretty f'ing gnar...

 

Hahaha, car wreck is a bit different than the other trails that drop to the inside of Aliso.

Those videos you posted make it look so smooth and easy:bang::bang: Those jagged rock gardens and the super narrow spot by the car and trees look so much easier :clap:
