Ride Report Aliso SSufferfest (my cr@ppy ride report)

No more crying games:lol:. Just let it all hang out!

listen to this one!! he speaks the truth!!!:bang::clap: if i didnt push my self harder on every ride I would be riding my SS for 10 years with no change @ all!! take notes the truth hurts but just for a little bit!!

btw even with all the pushing I do to better my self I still suck climbing and I still hate it and I still am way slower than most people so dont listen to what I say or do what I do!! :?:

hey, you saw it on Saturday- he did take the brunt of the "love"* from the crowd.

*in this case, love = heckling.

now, did that come from the fact that he's the ride leader, that he was a neo-sser, none, both, other?

It's either because he was the ride leader, seriously suffering up Cholla, or used duct tape.

duct tape? wha'd i miss? :?::lol:

i also thought that it might have been the camo shorts

(says the guy who was wearing wool...)

there is a downside to the darkside: when you go back to your geared bike you'll have forgotten how to shift!

A Bianchi Roger on San Juan is something I'd pay money to see.

I could have shown you that for free!
I've had 2 different CX rigs on San Juan and it is silly hard...seriously Fred, I would not recommend it to people I know or like:lol:
The trail eats skinny tires for breakfast but I will gladly wear a helmet cam to vid the action:lol: if you want!

I would say Sunday Feb 10th for the ride....I really need it to be on a sunday. gracias!

I've seen Tam (terminaut on emptybeer) do it and I'm sure Donkey (Brian @ the path) has done it.

Yup! Pretty sure it was Donkey if I'm not mistaken who went up Cholla on a cross bike. I literally stopped to watch at the rock garden and my jaw was just open the whole time. It's like watching a roadie hammer up dirt and rocks with slicks. 8-[ What's next? Little plastic superman tricycles with the plastic handle bar pom poms and the rear plastic needle that makes a ton of noise?

the cx is perfect for Aliso, you can literally fly up Cholla and Mathis but Lynx and Rock It are sloooow going...I like challenges:bang:

Neil said, "you can literally fly up Cholla":?:. Well I looked behind me sitting in my cubicle at work. I looked to the side. Nobody is standing there:lol:. I tell you this much brudda, I can't fly up Cholla for the life of me on a SS much less a multi-speed #-o but I'm in awe just watching it. Next time I'm leaving the camal back at home and bringing the backpack fold out chair so I can just watch.

so what's everyone's thought on Santa Rosa Plateau for a SS lovefest?

I'd be up for that one as it will "ease" me into SS again. Bike is built and maiden voyage was with the man-child this past weekend.

Tried a short climb up Cholla the other afternoon... made me remember what I loved and hated about SS. More of a hike up Cholla with a ride down Lynx and then the chore of climbing back out to the house. Had to walk then again...

LOL you have to know bon long enough to know that he dont like the wilderness we're surprised he even rides at aliso LOL
