Yeah. Ralph has done a lifetime of work to make cars safer and everything, and that's really great, but if he thinks the Nazi's could have built an empire post-WWII (with or without US involvement), he's dreaming. After fighting most of Europe, taking on Russia, Germany was completely spent, & had nothing left. No food, no weapons, no ammo, no materials, no fuel, no fresh soldiers, they'd already melted down railcars and automobiles for the metals and were reduced to building warplanes out of plywood and trying to get BMW to develop engines that would run on coal... hell, they had developed, but didn't even pursue nuclear, because they realized it'd take them 4 years to do, and if they couldn't win it in 3 then they'd lose anyway, because they'd be out of resources. ...and that's if a lot of countries just folded and didn't fight, which they most certainly did. It was a big gamble to begin with, but turning on Russia completely eliminated any chances Germany had of surviving its war.

Not to belittle the US war effort, but we could have tooled up and made comfy armchairs and Germany would still not have been able to make USA nor anyone else part of its empire. That goose was cooked.

What you say is not the most likely scenario according to a lot of historians. Had the US not entered the war, Germany would have kept bombing the UK to keep it preoccupied and focused it's land based forces to take Moscow.

Before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, German forces were taking potshots 5 miles outside of Moscow.

Had the Germans not had the threat of invasion from the US, and if they were actually in a weakened position, it is well thought out that they would have focused more on WMDs.
