Is Gene going to set up the wait list as he did in past years? I'd like to try this, but it sold out fast.

    No waiting lists.

    From WS website:

All entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable. We have to plan well in advance and therefore cannot offer refunds. You may not give or sell your number to another individual. The entry fee for a 2013 event WILL NOT transfer to the 2014 event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have unexpected business, a family emergency, etc. Sorry, there are NO exceptions.

I hope so, as i tried to get a place, started right at 8:00, got to payment section and it kept coming back saying counting error, in the end it then said full.

So if there is a list, please add me!

After my wife and I didn't make it into the CC due to an Active server error, I did make it into the VQ. My wife's smarter than to do that..... So I guess my hands will turn left while my head and heart look right... #-o

    See my post above.

Basically, if you have a spot you are in. If you don't have a spot, you are not getting a spot.

If you have a spot and can't make the ride for any reason......thanks for the donation.

Registered Riders will have to provide ID at checkin to recieve their wristbands.

THERE Are GOING TO BE NO WAITING LISTS

Sells out in 10 minutes, no transfers, no hope of getting in from a wait list ...reminds me of the BS that my kids went through to go to Blizzcon.

So if someone tells the Warriors they not going to take part and cancel their entry [I know they do not get a refund], you are saying that they do not offer the place to someone else?
As it seems like filling empty places would be a good idea as there is such a demand.

And I am sure it was active.com that screwed up my entry, it took about 3 minutes to get to the send payment, and another 15 minutes of trying to get told full.

We had done waiting lists in the past, and they are a administrative nightmare....people not getting the transfers/waivers in on time or both at all....people selling a spot, buying another and then transferring with a buddy.

I helped manage. List a few years back.....we had over 200 names on the VQ list alone.....that year I called all of them, and that doesn't include the 200+ for CC.

This is the 2nd or 3rd year for this policy

I got in at 8:03:46. My freind hit the button at 8:05 and waited until he finally got timed out.

My first CC. I did the 2010 Traverse in 7 hours. I'm guessing this will be about the same time?

Couldn't something be setup on Active.com to cancel your spot(no refund) and open it up for someone else to buy? no waiting list, just all done through Active.com. Someone cancels and a spot is available to buy. Seems like the WS would benefit from that, looking at all the DNS from previous years.

    P.S. I'm in for CC.

Makes sense in theory. It's only an administrative nightmare if you're doing the administrating. If a computer handles the inventory and a cancellation puts one back in stock for someone else to put in their shopping cart... Could raise additional funds. But yeah old-school paper/pen/phone? Forget that lol.

Traverse tends to be about the same, if not just ~5 min longer for the rider who just did CC. Meaning that you're probably at a higher point of conditioning if you're doing them back to back. And you're probably going to be a completely different rider 3 years apart. I really wouldnt use that as too strict of a guideline. I had a 30 minute drop from 2009 to 2010 and I dont recall do all that much differently in training... but the body knows.

In for 5th consecutive CC (with Traverse feathers in between until 2012 when WS stopped hosting).

Didn't get in. Oh well, guess I'll put the Whiskey 50 on the calendar instead.

I think the no transfers rule went in place because people were buying multiple registrations just to sell them for profit in the past.. Or just the transfer process was a Pain in the Ass. Perhaps if the Warriors would let someone else volunteer to deal with all the transfers they'd reinstate it?
