    Thanks Brian. It's a scene here today. After 3 years of trying and now racing it for a second, I can understand where you're coming from. Probably look for Breck next year.

    BTW, whoever tuned the Song at the shop has a 6 pack coming. It's never rolled better in nearly 3k miles. Would you mind finding me the tech on that job--and if they are over 21?

    Leadville would be at the top of my list of tandem races if I could talk my gal into getting one:)

    That photo is taken right after the cop cars peel off from the neutral start.....they'll ride a few miles of relatively flat dirt road and then the St Keevins climb pitches up.

    I hope we see at least a few "big buckles" coming back to Orange County!

    Updates of race are at http://singletrack.competitor.com/live.

    Levi is in the lead and JHK is seconds behind. Both on record pace. Wells is about 4 minutes back in 3rd. Only about 15-20 miles to go.

    They just posted a picture of Matt Shriver (last year's 3rd place finisher) at the base of Powerline. Local Don's Bikes rider Gerry Cody was on his wheel. According to the post just 8-10 minutes behind the leaders. Keep it up Gerry.

    Looks like they've had great weather up there this year which has got to help with that record pace.
