A third and last race has been added to make it this series (see updated flyer), once again, the Triple Crown Series! Pictures of the super awesome trophies will be coming soon.

you do know we live in the best place on earth for weather:clap:

and if there were not two or more different events on every weekend

there would be to many people at one place (bikers)8-[

ANyone know if the course at Bonelli is going to be the same as last year. Or even close to the same? Any word?

My name is Omar and I am the captain of the SC Velo Mtb Team/Club and the race director for the Incycle XC Challenge this 2010 year. We will meet with Bonelli tmrw to show them the course we have in mind. This year we are looking to make it longer, but faster than last year. Some of last years section will be used, but we want to take people across via verde towards the reservior & single track along the road. Last year was our toughest year with very low attendance. We hope we get plenty of people out so we can continue to put on this event, as well as the Triple Crown Series. I will have an update for you soon. Thanks.

Good to hear from you Omar. I raced all three of the Incycle events last year as a beginner and especially liked the Bonelli and Mt Sac courses. You guys put on a great series and I urge others here to give it a try. The only part of Bonelli I didn't like was that stretch across the newly plowed hillside, but had fun with that climb up through the trees. I'm sorry to hear attendance was down since I thought it was a great race. Ended up taking the series win, but only barely because I screwed up on that Fontana course with the loose crap on the backside singletrack. Love that blue and white Incycle jersey though, but only wear it when I'm road training. Haven't decided whether I'll do the 3 races this year because I did all of the OTH series and am a little burned out on the short crazy rides. Maybe a couple more long ones and then I'll reconsider. Good luck to you this year and I hope lots of people sign up.

 

Ok, I met yestrday with Bonelli folks and they has a small concern the way the course was running. I will be re-routing the course for the last time on Friday and hopefully posting it on the SC Velo web site this weekend. I will reply with a link to Geoladders and posting it here so you can see it sooner. It take a while for our club web guy to get it posted on the web site. Talk to you soon.

 

Hi Omar :wave: Good to see you finally join! Thanks for posting the info on the course.

 

I'll be in for all 3 races...its good to mix it up the sprints with the enduros for the last part of the season...November, December and rain days are good times to rest and rebuild the base with fun rides on tacky soil.

Anybody want to set up a course pre run in the next 2 weeks? I'm a Bonelli virgin.

I'm trying to find out some info on this race(MTB) and the SC Velo web site is not updated from last year. Registration is here $44 bucks.

 

I followed the State Finals route (from 9/12) so have a bit of an idea but haven't gotten the whole park down yet. I'll be there this Sunday morning most likely to do a few laps...hopefully Omar will have a definite route down already.

Here is what the course is. Bonelli shouldn't have any issues with it.
They may possibly comment near boat launch toll booth.
Sorry it took so long. This is time I have to squeeze in.
There is one small section which is a 2 way route before & after the reservoir.
If there is any issue with coure from Bonelli, I will let you know ASAP.
