Hey Tree, as a Duck fan, how do you feel about trading McElhinney for Ellis? Obviously, this is just a bandaid until Hiller is ready to go, but interesting nonetheless.

I think McElhinney had to go. The players appeared to have no confidence with him in net. I think Ellis is a slight improvement with more NHL game experience. Once Hiller and Emery are healthy and conditioned, Ellis gets sent down or waived.... What's your take on it?

Totally! They picked up a guy that scored 32 goals last year and they locked up Williams for four more years, it's a good day to be a Kings fan!

Great day for the Kings! My buddy just called and told me he has an extra ticket for the game tonight! YES!!!! I am guessing there is no way they can get Penner in here tonight?

Last I heard the Kings are dealing with his immigration status and are expecting his first game as a King to be Thursday night. I'm glad Dean made this trade happen and that they were able to lock up Williams before he became an unrestricted FA. 'Tis a good day to be a Kings fan.

Kings were unlucky tonight. Red Wings looked half asleep most of the game. Datsyuk's goal was crazy.

    Nice pickup with Penner.

It was the same at the game at Staples on Monday. Probably 30% of the fans were Red Wings fans. Some were so friggin obnoxious and cocky.

So good to see those cocky Wings fans go home losers. Crowd was like seriously 45% wearing red.
Kinda a cheap call to get a penalty shot on, but ya shouldn't be diving at a guy that's got two strides on you in OT.
After Bobby's goal, Howard was real pissed. Swung his goalstick at the post and probably broke it.
Not sure if he was pissed at the call or giving up the goal.

And you didn't give up a roster player. Next time I'm selling a used car, I'm phoning the Oilers head office to see if anyone there is interested. Brutal deal from the Oilers POV. It's a rough time to be a fan...

Kings looking good, although yesterday's game was agonizing, then awesome! All in the last 43 seconds.

Brutal game last night. The Kings had nothing. What the hell is up with the fans booing the Kings off the ice after the second period when they were only down by 2 goals? Anything can happen, I guess the fans at the game forgot about this

Hey I think any poor saps at last nights game should get a refund. West coasters are too easy on their sports teams already.

i was at that game, talk about epic!!!

my friend had a friend from england whom had never been to an nhl game before, so at first we were like, well this sucks. then the kings scored a goal, and we thought, ok, well at least we arent going to get shut out....then another goal, and we thought, wow, this is cool....then the third goal, and we were like, holy shit....then the fourth goal, our voices were almost gone....then the fifth goal, we were hugging people we didnt even know......then the OT win, it was freaking amaaaaazing!

last's nights game started off pretty physical, i was excited. then towards the end of the first period, bob miller stated the kings were being out shot 12-2, i was :( . the nail in the coffin for me was seeing clifford get temporarily KO'ed in his fight.

Sorry...I was 1-1/2 when that happened, I don't remember it. I do know about it though. I think you should still be a Kings fan...but that''s just me

Brett, you are so lucky to have been at that game...I think I would have pissed myself if I were there.

Calgary Flames vs. Los Angeles Kings

One of the most "intense" regular season games I have ever seen (emotionally draining)
*Not the best regular season game ever... VERY entertaining though!
*The players KNEW what was at stake

*Kings fought off a 5 on 4... Only two of their defenders had sticks... OMG!
*The ref got in the way of two scoring chances (puck hit him... also interfered with Dustin Brown)
*Can't believe the refs missed a few EASY calls
*The goalies were blocking shots last night (fans were going wild)

*Calgary fans were "pretty happy" when they scored the goal--- pretty quiet before that
*When the Kings missed the first attempt (shoot out), it deflated the crowd
*When Calgary missed their second attempt, the crowd went absolutely crazy!

*Simmonds had a very good game last night
*Penner looks slow... He also looks like he is still a bit confused
*Unless I am wrong, the Kings have scored 20 goals the entire month of March :(
*Overall, the power play needs some work

*Special thanks to Anne/No Endos for the awesome seats (a HAPPY Canadian she was not)

I sat three rows behind.... this guy!

P.S.- Does anyone know what happened to Williams last night (shoulder/wrist?.... it didn't look good)
