I must agree with Justin. Part of what makes his ribbing sooooo funny is Justin's INABILITY to come up with new material. J/K :lol: :beer:

If you would like some help photoshopping the files so they look their best, just let me know as I am "off" right now and have the time to do it.

Yeah I know most of the time people are just playing around.
I don't let it bother me to much. Even when someone is riding a huffy I just play it cool. I like to keep it professional. I have seen people make blunders and do things that I could easily point out and laugh but we are all Friends here. In my opinion you are the friends you keep. I like to make my friends and the people around me look good. I have great comebacks when I don't have to be professional. I make sure not to talk trash on other peoples bikes or ability to ride. I don't care if they are riding a Huffy or a Murry from Wall mart. I am generally just happy to see them trying. You don't see me saying dump your bike and get a Chumba ever. I only answer questions. Chumbas sell themselves.

I should be able to have more printed, but they will be more expensive a second time around since there's currently a 20% discount, and we're buying over 50.

Any chance we could see the pics you have chosen for the calendar BEFORE we decide whether or not we want a calendar? Just thinking out loud.

I was under the impression that once pics were submitted STR members could vote for which ones made the calendar....seeing as we usually take votes.

 

I though about wanting to see them beforehand, but decided I'd rather be surprised.

 

The majority of the photos were from the entry thread (I think I mentioned that below). It isn't a Chumba or a Brandon ad

I added my ornament photo and a picture from Lake Hodges.

January: Dean's Gooseberry photo with the rider and bluesky/cloud and Maxwell's OR photo

February: Fully Loop month (two photos - the group shot in the parking lot that Schecky took is TOO small - I need the big one!!)

March: Racing photos. Jfromlv's turn, Maxwell at Mt. SAC, Nancy at Southridge

April: spring. guys on bikes with orange light, sar boats shadow pic, jose climbing at vail, and southridge hike

May: Lynn's photos (bikes, rock, sun in trees, and Steppies wheel with lake tahoe)

June: Von Skipp's cannel photo, annie at cannel, someone else at cannell, Steph's Noble train shot

July: Jfsh's palm canyon rider in the sunset, my thunder mountain shot, ann at thunder mountain, bubbs in b/w

August: guys enjoying IPA toast, nancy/roger/group in Brianhead riding through singletrack

September: andy flashes the girls, my noble canyon Big Laguna lake shot, bikes in trees from Brianhead, Thanksgiving SJT group shot in the parking lot

October: Keepswhathappens rider with fire shot, trailwork, and STR halloween ride

November: St Patty's day at the luge flag, me riding hodges, another flat shot, Rut on Cactus

December: Jeff riding through the snow, ornament, and Andy's shot from Skidmark with riders down below.


If you want to see images, do the research! I'm still trying to put it all together n stuff.

FWIW, I tried to get a good smattering of images, people, members, rides... scenery, people, etc. It's not all my images, or any one other person's. Sorry if yours got left out. No offense to anyone meant.

If you decide from reading my descriptions you DON'T want one, please let me know ASAP.

If you want the calendar in January, take mine.

Otherwise it'll be a 2009 calendar.

 

I think this was the original idea but with so many submissions the voting process might get a little overwhelming.

 

I can try to get images posted some time after lunch.

If you decide you aren't interested anymore, just let me know and I'll remove you from my list. No hard feelings at all.

 

I say give the editorial powers to Allison. After all, she's the one doing all the work. Based on her pictures I feel confident saying she's got a good eye.

 

Start accepting money for PRE ORDERS....and compiling a list of who paid....
w/ that being said where should I send my money?
