Hi all, I need to sell my wife's old bike so I can create some space in the garage for a new project. It's a 2004 Norco Fluid 3.0 - size 15.5". I'm asking $450 OBO for the entire bike as listed below.

The frame is built pretty burly. They licensed the Horst Link from Specialized so it's like a FSR. Frame travel is adjustable between 4.5" and 5.1". Weight wise - it's not a lightweight racer (but it's probably good for taking some hits), I would guestimate around 30-31 lbs. It's lighter than my Evo for sure.

I'd like to disclose that the fork does have a problem with the rebound knob. It doesn't like to turn freely, so the fork most likely needs an overhaul. I have a Manitou Black 90-120mm fork that works fine that I can throw in for $50.

What kind of shape is the bike in overall (besides the fork issues)?? How hard was it ridden??

I am interested in it for my son (he will be 11 next month and this would be a cool birthday present). He is currently on a 14" Spec Hardrock HT and I want to get him on a FS bike, but don't want to drop major $$ on a bike he will only outgrow. This may be a doable alternative.

The bike was only ridden by my wife - and she's definitely not a hard rider. She won't even ride up some curbs.

I would probably say this bike has less than 200 miles on it - mostly from trails at Fullerton Loop, Aliso and Peter's Canyon. Drivetrain and brakes are in great condition.

It would probably be a good fit for your son - assuming that he's not taller than 5' 8". At that height, I think the bike will feel a little small.

He's almost 5' tall and the seatpost on his 14" Hardrock is up pretty far, so I think he could get away with another 1 1/2" on the seattube. I'll let you know. Thanks.

that thing has a pretty slack head angle.. sweet i'll tell chicken about it although i don't think he's gonna buy another bike
