Shadow/Carbon cage and a few grams here or there.

The older ones projected out from the bike further putting you at greater risk for bending the hanger. This new (Shadow) design makes the unit flush inside the dropout, also the primary spring is eliminated so it will not slap the chain stay. Best design and will probably wind up on my ride to replace my XT shadow, but I do want to get a bike together for sean.

New in the box, Part # is M-972 long cage (for triple front rings.)

I should also mention that this will work with any Shimano 9spd pods (excluding DC) and you would drop more than a hundred grams versus Deore or LX not mention getting your equipment up out of harms way. I got the XT shadow as soon as it came out last year and have not bent a hanger since.

The best offer for me would not be cash, the only reason it's up for sale is to complete another bike that still lacks Shifter pods, mechanical discs, and currently a disc QR front wheel. I would love to swap for a 20mm thru axle fork but might be kinda scary in this price range.

Offer away!!

I have 1 extra avid BB7 (160 rotor) - new + new avid lever, and cable

Is it front or rear? I have a front Textro but no adapter for the rear those of you who saw Sean OTB at fully can verify this. I'm open but generally prefer Hayes brakes and would want cash to go with the Avid.

Forget to mention that when mounted this unit eliminates the loop of housing that get snagged by everything. This is truly the coolest RDER Shimano has ever made.

There is a tentative cash offer for this evening, unless anyone is in my neck of the woods....

Front Avid BB7 +$90 cash and I'll take it, otherwise I'll stick with my old xtr derailleur.

If you are interested in the BB7 either way let me know...
