Great job with the racing Wendy!! We're changing your name to "ass-kicking momma"!! Can't wait to join you girls at the next race!
Haha ya Dave aka pmortuary is my man! i'm sorry to hear that you ate it. Dave even said it was crazy for a race but he definitely wants to go just to ride around instead of racing. I wished i was there to cheer everybody on but i had work...BOO! Great to hear about the new bike! and even though it was a nar nar course, i'm glad you had a great time. I eat it all the time and i still have a great time!
Hey Rollingmomma, Well i just wanted to know how bootleg went? i forgot to ask you because dave came home with brused ribs. How was your new bike?
2 more weeks to go \\:D/ The triathlon is on the 25th. I'm so excited!! Then the weekend after that is Muddy Buddy in San Dimas which I'm even more excited about. Mountain Biking, mud and beer, does it get much better??
Yeah, Sycamore is just way too fun :). As usual, will be going on our long ride Saturday a.m and doing our session thing on the rocks and stuff on Sunday afternoon. The session rides are really helping my skills for riding on the boulders :) There's a pic of it in my Randomness folder :)
I just realized that probably came off as sarcastic. I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to! :( I'll be out at Sycamore on Saturday a.m. If you ride with Nancy this week, have a great ride!
Heh, I've flown over the Swiss Alps for about an hour. Trust me, as beautiful as it is, even Mammoth doesn't come close to what the Swiss Alps look like! Regardless, your description lets me know that you feel pretty high up
lolz.... well, it does help that I have no kids, I'm not married, and I live alone. That means when I want a bike, I get the one I want (and can afford). :) Going to be paying off my Myka for about a year (less if my ex-husband gets his act together, finds a job, and starts paying support again... poor guy got laid off just like everyone else in the US).
Well, you know, I started out on a hardtail in April (of this year), and with all the kind of riding I was doing, it wasn't working for me. I really needed a women's specific full suspension bike. Also, I was going to Mammoth in the beginning of August, and there was no way I could ride there without full suspension. So I bit the bullet and bought a 2nd bike in July, just 3 months after I bought the hardtail. *Totally worth it*! My technical skill skyrocketed once I bought a women's specific full suspension bike. When I went to Mammoth I had only been riding 4 months and I was already doing intermediate trails. That Myka is worth every dollar I paid for it, and more. It's going to bring me many years of happiness.
Hi there! Welcome! I'm new too. Hopefully I'll be able to join you guys on the next Sycamore Canyon ride  Have a great ride!
