I'm actually coming up this weekend and will scout the area this afternoon and I'll stop by the Block Shop as well. "Ave P" is in my backyard - the area behind Highland High School (25th West and Ave P-12) I can show you around if that's close to you. There are lots of local trails and fire roads tho. Also, there is a group of Lockheed employees and others that meet every Thursday at various trails around the valley - they usually have a weekend ride too. I can send you an email address if you're interested. Otherwise, talk to Mike Grace at Bicycle John's in Acton or one of the Guys at the Block Shop in Palmdale to get hooked up with local rides and racers.
