You really need to demo the new Turner Sultan before you decide. I rode it and it is awesome, but they changed it from XC to AM!!!! You should check around, or call Turner and ask when the next demo is!!!
No, I am off all activity for a minimum of 3 weeks. I started decompression therapy yesterday. Basically it takes 3 weeks before the Dr. can tell if it is really working or not.
You guys are good, terrain wise. I don't know the exact route Liz has planned, so I don't know about mileage but it's not too long. There should be a dozen people or so showing up for that ride.

I have the iblaast 2. i was going to get the regular iblaast but the dollar has actually gained strength and the newer "r2" leds give abit brighter light without sacrificing run time. i paid $195 for the light head and $20 for shipping. you will need to do some soldering and headshrinking to get it working (just the connectors. they have complete systems available, but their batteries are abit heavy and VERY expensive;

my light weighs 200g for the lamp, 200g for the battery (400g total) and cost about $300 complete. i also get about 800 lumens. i have the "spot" beam.
