I'm not sure how much growth will be on the chorro decent, but the cherry creek ride us tough till you get to Ortega. Ortega reminds me a lot San Juan and Murray peak. Have you done any of this before?

Awesome that your intersted the chorro ride will be early at sunrise due to upsloping winds and heat. I will give you an update on trail conditions tommorrow or very soon. This is a hard ride in remote wilderness disco and I survived it, chorro grande is going to be steep and bouldery I suppose. It's a 1800 ft loss in like 3.5 miles.
