Hey Jon, you ever ride your mtn. bike or are you full blown roadie? Let me know if you want to ride some time this Summer. I am currently building a budget road bike.
Hectic. Too much riding can burn one out. It's nice to take a break from the trails and surf all summer and get back on the bike in the fall. Or, you can ride in cooler places during the summer like Big Bear. cheers!
There were alot of good riders out there this year. I laugh at 125/152 (including DNF) but the results seem much better when I tweak the age category and gender category. Can you believe only 17 women rode the CC? I was timed against many guys that are your age!!
My goal was to beat the 2nd cut off. Accomplished:beer:
thanks. i survived, but my arms (?) were toast going back through whiting. i'm taking it in today to get easier gearing...we only went to the poppy patches (quarter mile?) before we turned on the stt. we finished about 11:15 and left about 12:15. good job making it to old camp on your easy day!
Sorry just got your message. My Holy Jim crew bailed and we ended up going up San Juan to Blue Jay and back down instead. Probably doing the holy Jim Ride next Saturday and we always welcome more riders.... I'll keep you posted.
Jon, my group is doing a training ride on Sunday 8AM, MS-HJ. Interested in joining us? You will need to build your base and know how much food/water your body will require. Nutrition is huge for CC
