Friday I rode Palo Comando, Sheep Coral and Cheeseboro Canyon and ridge trails. I have in the recent past biked the Temescal Canyon and a connected Fire roade north of Pacific Palisades. I rode Sulliavan Ridge by the old Nike Missile site at San Vicente mountain and Big Sycamore in Point Mugu. I'm progressing. YAY!!!

Great! I hear there is some great riding up there. Been wanting to ride the Backbone trail in the Santa Monica mountains. Last ride I did up north was at near JPL in Pasadena. We rode Aliso Woods today and plan to do another few loops out there on Sunday. Last week we did an epic 30 miler on the Holy Jim/Trabuco Canyon trail. 4400 feet of climbing. The weather will get cooler hopefully. Let me know if you ever make it down to the OC. A lot of great riding down here! Cheers- Gene
Saturday is a no go for Chesebro, the Aunt can not watch the kids but she can on Sunday. If you want to meet us at Chesebro on Sunday around 09:30-10:00 let me know.

Hey there-- thanks for the add! Were you able to do some good riding this weekend?
Alright, I will let ya know the details later tonight or tomorrow. We need to find out what time the aunt can baby sit but the usual ride time is 10:30 at Chesebro since the Princess has soccer in the morning.

Perhaps I will post up a ride on the Calendar as well, soon as we ink the time, and a few others may show. Chesebro is a cool/fun ride with something for every one.
Hey Colleen, most every Saturday (sometimes Sunday) I take the Mrs out riding with me, we usually ride easy trails that have some technical features but nothing that is not rideable, even for a newbie. As of late we have been riding Chesebro out in Agoura which is a great beginner to intermediate ride. There are also a few spots a bit more local to the Chatsworth/Simi area we ride as well. If ya ever want to join us let me know.
Hi I went for my Victory Trailhead ride today in West Hills, located in the Simi Hills at the westernmost edge of San Fernando Valley. :-)

Hi Colleen! Take the 101 up past Las Virgenes and exit Cheseboro, turn right and this takes you to a stop sign to also turn right at too. There will be horse corrals to the left, just keep going up about a 1/3 of a mile and there will be a park entrance on the right. It's just before the houses, you can park there or head up to the sizable dirt lot. There are usually rangers in a little stand there where the trail head begins. You can take that as a out and back with the turnaround being at Sheppard's flats.
Oh yes I do want to go towards the Las Virgines area I have driven through around Peter Strauss Ranch, Paramount Ranch and I've been to Saddleback Ranch too. Where is a good place to park and ride for a newbie like me in that area?
