Rode it yesterday 1/19/14. Great weather. Started around 9 AM. Temps in the high 50s. Post Office loop was very loose, and narrow in some spots. Some corners are washed out and covered with leaves, which makes things interesting...
The rest of the trail from Middle Control to South Fork was in excellent condition. Just watch some narrow sections where the trail is eroded. Most of the ride it was in the mid to upper 60s, which is amazing for this time of the year. We clocked around 30 miles, most of it endless singletrack fun...

Rode the post office loop today the first time from the post office to the fire road.

I felt it was extremely loose in certain sections. There were some leaves in the corners also.

    Weather couldnt be better today!

I was on it today- middle control to south fork was great! Then climbed up to the ridge- Radford climb is loose and chunky but okay. Then hit up Skyline to 7 Oaks. Skyline is in great condition. 7 Oaks is okay… loose with some issues here and there but still a good roll.

Where does SART connect with Radford? I remember doing a Team Big Bear endurance race which dropped us down Clarks Grade Road and back up Radford.
And yes, that is how I remember Radford, loose and not a very pleasant climb, especially at the bottom.

Radford and SART don't directly connect, rather, you use Glass Rd / 7 Oaks Rd, to get between the two. I believe the BB race you're talking about had the riders only using the top portion of SART from Glass to South Fork and then coming back to Radford via a fire road- (I think River Rd / Long Trail ? I forget the name). And from Clarks, you got to Glass road and the SART via a connector fire road that went by Camp Sky Meadows. It was a cool course from the looks of it on Strava and I hope they do it again!

Yes sir! It was a great day on the bike. 5 hrs, 47 miles and 8K vert according to GPS/Strava. Skyline and SART are plenty worth the price of admission- that being Radford or Clarks! LOL.

I only did the PO loop to the creek with the log crossing. The trail took a good beating. A bunch of loose debris and even sandy in a lot of the trail. Rain ruts weren't deep but the were plenty. Ruts on one to two foot wide trails and my crummy bike handling made it a little sketchy near exposure spots. A few downed trees that took a dismount to pass. Middle Control Rd is closed because of rock slides, but, still ridable by bike. Its not in the best condition, but, it's still SART and i had a blast.

Stream with the log crossing... no longer has the logs. Still crossable on rocks though.

I rode it a week and a half ago, and it was in great shape. Getting a little loose on some of the corners, but that's the SART!

Rode the main part of SART last weekend. Everything seemed in pretty good shape, a bit dry/dusty/sandy, and the flies are out.

This section below seemed sketchier than normal. The trail is becoming more off camber on the outside from riders wheels sliding over the edge, so the usable bench is getting narrower. This was the first time I've ever dabbed here, but I had my front wheel slide out on me and then bumped my shoulder into the root as I recovered - almost sent me off balance over the side.

We didn't ride the singletrack behind the post office so no comment on conditions for that section.
