    I race and ride an 07 epic marathon carbon. I love the thing. Turn the brain to soft for trails and hard for races. In a perfect world, I would have a bike to train on and a bike to race on, then it might be different (think carbon hardtail, <20lb race bike), but because I am not infinitely wealthy, that can't happen.
