If you were going to buy a 4'' travel XC Bike, to Race AND train on. What would you get? And would it be Carbon, or Alu?

    Trek Top Fuel?

    Turner Flux?

    Giant Anthem?

    Santa Cruz Blur XC?

    Etc...

And if you have a setup that you love.. what is it and whats the weight?

Santa Cruz Blur XC Carbon with XTR and Rock Shox SID is my dream race bike. Currently on a Yeti ASR SL that weighs in the high 22lb range. 29 FS is pointless, you are adding too much weight for little benefit. Go 29 Hardtail or 26 FS.

Coming from an honest bike shop employee, the best XC race bike is the bike that offers a geometry that you immediately like as soon as you get on it.

With the amount of awesome XC race bikes on the market, the decision is tough, but I'm sure I would be impressed with anyone of them.

The new Top Fuels are super nice. However if I were doomed to only have one full suspension bike in my stable of bikes, it be the new Turner Flux. Trail bike during the weekdays, race bike on the weekends.

    Epic, Anthem or Top fuel.
Something that actually wins races and has a good warranty not one of these mom n pop companies that some people refer to as boutique

Racer X or Racer X carbon. Still the bike that everything else XC is judged by.
