its most def the kid A party pack!!

aka 3 parks and a 6 pack o beer ride.

link peters canyon - irvine - sant oaks then was over to wahoo's for fish tacos and beers.

now that chronic opened and I mostly hit that after the ride (chronic = no beer) as such the ride just doesn't seem as gratifying :(

    Pepe's on Foothill (RIP)

After riding anything in the Gabes, there used to be Pepe's Mexican on Foothill, right at the base of Angeles Crest. God I miss that place! Best food, ambiance, and of course THE BEST Margaritas. Pepe's would make any epic loop in the Gabes possible, because you knew Pepe's was always waiting at the bottom.

Alas, Pepe's is gone. Foothill Blvd redevelopment forced Pepe's to move. End of an Era. Lame.

Also in big Bear: Grab your local phone book and grab a 50% off coupon (good only on Tuesdays) for Azteca on BB Blvd. just west of BV Bikes on the opposite side of the road.
    ----------------

I have one to recommend: After you ride McGill Trail (which the Dirtbags may invade this coming Sunday) near Mt. Pinos, stop off at Los Pinos which is located back almost to the freeway, just to the north side of the main road (133 Frazier Mtn Park Rd., Lebec, CA) The lunch special is about $7 and the plate is about twice the size of your head.
