I loved MDC! They were one of my all time favorite bands. I have a great story about when I saw GBH. Near riot, etc... blah blah blah. Another favorite was DOA, no NOT the "I spin you round, right round" fags.

To further expand my punk rock cred, I saw the Misfits OPEN up for Minor Threat...THAT is how punk rock I am!

Kudos to Bighit8 for the post! All ripping bands :bang: do you know if the GBH show is at the Olympic? I saw all of them there, very fun shows.DOA and MDC were two of the first bands I was really into.
Damn, Stray_Bullit must be an older punk than me, I started going to shows at 13, the Minor Threat/Misfits was a little bit before my time. BTW, Misfits F'n rule. And on a side note, Chuck Biscuits (from DOA) was a drummer for DANZIG!?

I'm watching A Clockwork Orange right now , and I can't help thinking I'm watching DISCO on the screen for some strange reason ?????????

Just thinking back on my old rebel days. I was rockin some songs for my kids tonight. I'll tell ya a little story. This happened in Seattle in like 1987. We went to see Dr.Know, Circle jerks and SGM. We smoked some " stuff " that was laced ( I was a dumb kid). We ended up ( my friend Michelle Anijho,Pual Kandris, Shaun, Dan and Steve Gual, alisson Di Ambrossio, you get the picture: on the pier in Downtown Seattle singing " She was a girl from Birmingham". Got arrested ect....... I was a worst nightmare for my friends parents. The good old days I think.:?::lol: There was a riot on the Mercer Island ferry that night. Then I joined the Marine Corps, go figure. I also remeber the Exploited had a album called Jesus is dead. It had some nun with vibrators hung on a cross. I decided to use the album cover for an art project and was promptly suspended from school. Its a very hard to find record. Have been looking for it for years.

No its a little older, I think they played dual roles as the band changed.

Life was easy back in the "before I had to worry about anything but myself and and where I was going to have fun" days! :bang: (Oh, and I remember some of them!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLyu1GLKI9Y
there's the song, good luck finding the orig. artwork, stuff from that era was cool because it was from individual artists and not from a graphic artist from a major label. (Check out CRASS or Rudementary Peni) Very cool, I didn't know you were into bands like this and I hope you are are not judged because you mentioned them, like a mohawk in the old days, it's just fun, but alot of people just don't get it. 8-[

I could tell YOU some stories, but it would be a hell of a long ride. . . . . .

Chuck also played with Social D a few years ago. He was the drummer on the "live" album.

Stray Bullit is on Medicare if that's any indication of his age?

Yikes... how time does fly. It's funny to hear MDC and Minor Threat considered "old school". When I was going to shows, those groups were part of the second wave. My first punk show was at The Fleetwood (Redondo Beach) in 1978 or 79... Black Flag (with Dez... two vocalists before Henry), Circle Jerks, Red Kross (they were all 13 or 14 years old), and I forget who all else. I saw the Germs perform their very last show. It's bizarre to know this was almost 30 years ago and that I'm still alive.
