Reed is a beast. With enough time I think he can break any bike.

No, surprisingly I didn't take a dirt nap. The good thing about steel is that it usually doesn't fail catastrophically. In fact, I'm sure I did a good half dozen jumps after I cracked it, but I just didn't know it yet.

It's funny because just yesterday I took the Reba off the broken Gary Fisher HiFi. I thought I was going to send it back to RS for servicing, but I guess I'm going to stick it on the Vulture tomorrow. It's been a bad month for my bikes.

Well it was considerably more rigid earlier today. Now it's only semi rigid. :bang:

And, I was just doing the little stuff. Ricky and Fong were the ones hitting the big jumps.

Nice pics, guys. I checked the place out last week, really cool spot with lots of potential. Can't quite figure out the line you're hitting in these photos, though. New work?

    Not anymore ;)

Lately this seems to definitely be true. I was thinking that I probably shouldn't have been doing a lot of the stuff I was doing on a rigid fork. Oh well. I guess I'll just chalk it up to experience and have another beer. :drunk:

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Any recommendations? I'm interested in something that is definitely a trail bike, but can handle being abused and doing jumps to say 5' or so.

Here's a shot of Ricky hitting the Big Kahuna. Sorry about the lighting. New camera and new user.

    Yea, I know....:?:

I think I want something a little more trail oriented. I saw that you did pretty well with the eBay sale. Nice.

Justin, those are some good ideas, but I will probably spend less money than most of those bikes.

Nice pictures. Anyone ever hear of some huge vert jumps near Rancho Santa Margarita and Ladera Ranch area?

I happened to come across them on a ride recently and these jumps are pretty awesome (completely vert lips, some about 8 feet tall, some 15 feet gaps). I'm not sure you could hit them on a anything but a BMX but what do I know. From what another local told me he doesn't think anyone uses them anymore. It looks like they were built for a video shoot and that was all. I'd be glad to give the hucksters directions if I can watch.

    Nice!

I used to ride the bowl on my buddy's Free Agent when I was a kid. I grew up riding the lakebed. Good times!
