I've had my 09 Yeti 575 for two months now and I just love this bike! Anybody else out there love their Yeti as much as I love mine. It makes me want to ride everyday no matter if I am tired or not. It is one badass bike!:bang:
Yep, I love my Yetis I have a 303. Love it. I have a Yeti 4X. Love it. I have a Yeti ASX. Ummm...Love it. 575 is the next one and then a DJ. That will complete the stable.
Love my '08 575 with a passion, though the Evil Creak That Won't Die is definitely putting a damper on the enthusiasm. Otherwise, it is a phenomenal, do-it-all bike.
Man.....I want one so bad!!!! Jenson's is tempting me with their 08 clearance! How much does a L or M weigh in?
Dueling Yeti 575s...the white one is mine, the black one is my fiance's. I love my bike...it does it all! Having some fun in a friend's backyard. My '07 is just under 30 lbs (and that's with Easton Havoc rims and a Talas 36 fork)...I rode a Yeti 575 demo bike from the Yeti fleet that was sub-25 with full XTR!
Rockin' the Teal and White My 2009 Yeti ARC-- In my opinion, the baddest racing hardtail ever. Maybe it's the heritage and mystique of the tribe or it's the legendary racers like Tomac, Furtado, Giove, Deaton, Streb, Rockwell who all piloted Yetis to so many victories-- but every time I get on my ARC it begs to be ridden FAST. On my BLT, I don't mind getting passed-- but when I'm on the ARC, it's always game on for some reason. Lately, I've been riding this more than my squishy bike. After hitting dual suspension for so long, I had forgotten how much fun it is to rip singletrack on one of these things (Coyote at Aliso is a local fave of mine on this bike). It really makes you appreciate bike handling skills again when you don't have 5.5" of dual suspension to make up for any errors. Whether I'm charging up Cholla/Mathis/STT or skipping down Lynx/Rock-it or The Luge, this thing just kills. I love my Yeti!
What can i say - I'm on my second 575 - both team turquoise of course. Fits perfectly. Great slow speed handling and better the faster you go. Great climbing and grin-inducing DH. (hmmmm trouble uploading photo). Anyone want to buy my 07 XL frame w/ carbon chainstays?
I bought an 09 team colors and rode it twice before I put it up for sale, since I had no bites I kept riding(pushing) it and am really starting to enjoy the ride, its a great frame. Although it does have that bottom bracket creak the last two rides.
575 #2 OK Here's the photo. I have changed to a 2x9 transmission with MRP carbon bashplate and LRP chain tensioner. About 30lbs in an XL now. Makes me want to ride every time I look at it!
Creak? BB creak is not usually a function of the brand of frame. My 07 575 developed some creaking in the pivots and bushings after about two years of heavy riding. Replaced all for about $150 including labor. Santa Cruz Blurs prior to '08 were notorious for suspension creaks.
