I don't see Santa cruz on that list Doug Perhaps you should consider one - just be careful not to smack it like I did today! The pic shows the resulting dent in the chainstay. Looks like I might be getting a new rr end as well. Oddly though, it wasn't a very hard crash, unfortunately it just hit the ground funny! Oh well, SC has a pretty good crash replacement deal.
bummer about the frame man. coo that you have hook ups since ya work at a shop. looking forward to seeing what you build up next.
you knooooow you want to get the JET9!! i had a sip of the kool-aid and that's all it took to get me a pair of big wheels...
Fo' sho'!! I never thought I'd like 29'ing as much as I do. I took the Zion out last week and looped BLT on it and it kicked @$$!!
Why couldn't you ride a JET at Noble? If you are looking at great frames for a good price, check out the Canzo 29er.
Well, I suppose it would be. I guess I didn't mean to say it wasn't. I'm just thinking the lower travel and steeper HA wouldn't be as plush on the DH as my Haro or my Yeti. Anyhoot, I talked to Seth at Yeti a bit ago and the new rear triangle is on it's way--no hassle at all. I know other manufacturers' Customer Service is top notch as well, but Yeti's CS is right up there with the best of them.
I asked Seth at Yeti how much it would cost me to upgrade to the carbon rear triangle and he said they had them in stock and it would be $130. I decided shaving half a pound wasn't worth $130 to me so I just went with the standard rear. If I really want to drop half a pound, I can just take the Gravity Dropper off.
Hey PacMan - Would you be able to get another JET9 at pro-deal pricing + a little extra cash for your own pocket? I'll take a medium black one. The red nipples on my wheels will clash with the green.
LOL. I would if I could, but I can't, so.... I was all set on the black one, but when I talked to Brett at Niner, he said the Green one glows in the dark like the Blue RIP. So, I am now planning on the Green. My birthday is at the end of May and I've justified it to the Mrs. by calling it a birthday present and pointing out that we can use the "Economic Stimulus" cash from the IRS for it.:bang:
Maybe you could buy the wrong size a la Allison, and then have to sell it on the cheap to buy the right size. Just in case you're wondering, I need a large.
