It's the Internet, everything is fair play (especially on STR). You got a bunch of guys who have way to much spare time and they love to pick on people. It means they like you. ;)

I experienced the chit-talking this past weekend at the Pt. Mugu ride...it was a great time!

El-Im First, don't be confused by the moniker 575 carbon. It's not a carbon frame. It does have carbon seatstays and chainstays. 2nd, you must get the right size seatpost. I have a KS i900 (5" travel) with 2010 internals and a brand new seat clamp and remote lever. It fit my 575 and it will fit yours. PM me if interested. Oh - yes, it's 30.9.

For years, a common question among people with road bikes is if they could use a 25.4 mm stem (mtb standard) with their 26 mm bars (road standard). Of course there were mtbers who wanted to use a 26 mm road stem with their 25.4 mm bars. I'm so glad that both now commonly use 31.8 mm.

Oh, and if you have to know, no, you can't use a 25.4 mm stem with 26 mm bars, and nor can you use a 26 mm stem (road stem) with 25.4 mm bars.

Thanks but at this point, I'm not going the Yeti route.
