Not the best way to end a ride...

Hopefully we got that out of the way before Saturday ;)

Trails were in decent shape. Nothing exciting to report.

We are heading out tomorrow after work to pick out the pit spot!

    Anyone else getting anxious??

You Know I got to come out and ride that again. I didn't really have a ton of fun on my XTerra pre-ride (felt bad) and then the actual XTerra race 95+ degrees, but there was definitely some fun stuff to ride.

There's some really fun singletrack out there! We will probably switch our route up a bit following the race (at least until Oct or so when the Nov course is put up :D).

Though... we were already planting the seed in Tom's head to head up to ITT for a climbing time trial the week after Dville :bang:

    nice bike

You always take great pics...great job.

Nice bike...I was looking into those spinergy 29er wheels. Anyone know if they can be converted to tubeless?

Ghetto tubeless, but that's probably it.

It was a very nice bike! The white definitely came together with the blue and looks great.

SO..... I'm not the only one that gets these "lack of air situations" at vail.

What tires were the big wheeled folks riding?? (crossmarks? Ignitors? SB8s?)

I'm still torn between big volume and low rolling resistance... Pretty sandy? Floatation an issue?

In a few spots, but not overall.

I'm running a Dry-X up front and a Karma 1.9 in the back. Light and fast.

My back-up bike has 2.4 Racing Ralph front and a Captain in the back.

I ran the crossmark in the rear and the ignitor up front, I felt pretty good. With the dry weather I think the course will get pretty loose and sandy progressing throughout the day, but that is just my opinion.

Yeah Ghetto tubeless at best - they included their special rim tape (welded single strip) with the wheels - but it was for their 26" version :?:, so before the ride I threw some electrical tape on to act as my rim tape since I had some with - worked fine for the ride but I should change it out I guess...

i think i remember seeing the crossmark 29 lust's at cycopath a while back. i was amazed at how quick the new one mounted today. got mine from redhawk for $50.

i should probably swap the front as well.

The tube went flat that was in it!!! That's why I went back to tubeless :D

Actually, I have a spare bike, and will have a spare rear wheel also.

Hopefully it won't be an issue!

Good thing we have so many "spares" lying around
